Wait, who is Browdown Beauty?…
Hiiii, I'm Dea
If we've never met before, welcome!
I'm a firm believer that you should never stop learning, which is both one of my favorite qualities about myself...and probably the reason I somehow ended up running a business and going back to nursing school. When I'm not in the treatment room, I'm usually researching a new treatment, going down an unnecessary skincare rabbit hole (I'm much more Reddit than TikTok), at yoga, out for a run, or hanging out with my husband and our rescue animals—Bill, Pete, and Bobby—who are fully convinced they pay the mortgage.
I appreciate a really good espresso, love figuring out why things work, and genuinely get excited about learning. Which is lucky...because this career lets me combine creativity, science, and problem-solving every single day.
Why BrowDown?
I've been doing this long enough (established October 2017) to know there isn't a magic product, miracle machine, or one treatment that's right for everyone.
Good skin starts with asking good questions and that's why every appointment starts with a conversation—- not me trying to convince you to book whatever treatment is currently blowing up on social media. If I think there's something that will work better than what you booked, I'll tell you.
If I don't think you need something, I'll tell you that too.
I care way more about building trust than selling you another service.
Because at the end of the day, the goal isn't to do the most.
It's to do what actually makes sense for you.
Come hang out with me.
If you like skincare, dogs, cats, the occasional nursing school chaos, way too much science, and someone who will absolutely read the research paper before believing the headline...
...we'll probably get along.

This is probably the question I get asked the most. The honest answer? Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but it's almost always much easier than people expect. I use a high-quality topical anesthetic throughout your appointment to keep you as comfortable as possible, and believe it or not...I've had plenty of clients fall asleep while getting their brows or lips done. Most people describe it as more of an odd scratching or vibrating sensation than actual pain. If you're nervous, don't be—I promise the anticipation is usually the worst part.
-
That's always the goal. Unless you specifically want a more defined makeup look, my style leans soft, timeless, and natural. I want people asking if you changed your makeup routine—not asking who tattooed your face.
-
Everyone heals a little differently, but most clients enjoy their results for 1–3 years before needing a color refresh. Things like your skin type, sun exposure, skincare routine, and overall lifestyle all play a role in how your pigment ages over time.

Yes, we remain actively involved until solutions are fully operational and staff are confident.

Good news...you don't have to.
Choosing between microblading, powder brows, or combination brows isn't your job. We'll look at your skin type, your lifestyle, how much makeup you wear, and the look you're hoping to achieve. From there, I'll recommend the technique that's going to heal the best and give you the most beautiful long-term result.

Item descriptionThat's actually more common than you might think. Depending on the existing pigment, I may be able to refresh or correct your brows, or I may recommend lightening them first if there's too much old pigment to safely work over. Every case is a little different, which is why I always recommend starting with a consultation if you're unsure.

I'm scared they're going to be too dark.
Every. Single. Client. says this.
Your brows (or lips) will look darker immediately after your appointment—that's completely normal. As everything heals over the next few weeks, the color softens significantly into a much more natural result. I'd much rather have you text me saying, "I was worried for nothing," than have you wishing we'd gone darker.
I tell every client: trust the process. Healing is a journey, not an overnight transformation.
